OFW dressed up as delivery rider surprises parents in heartwarming video

An overseas Filipino worker (OFW) surprised her parents by coming home after two years in Singapore.

Sharmaine Santos dressed up as a delivery rider to pretend that she was delivering an order which her mother did not make. Other family members, aside from her mother and father were in on the prank.

The “rider” delivered a package worth P4,900 to Andrea Santos, her mother, but the mom insisted that she did not make such an order.

To settle the problem, the rider asked to take a photo with Nanay Andrea. At this point, Sharmaine already removed her helmet to reveal her face. The mother did not immediately notice that her photo was being taken with her daughter beside her, but when she did, tears started flowing.

Netizens were also touched by the scene. As of this writing, the video has garnered more than 640k reactions and 6.5 million views; shared by 74K netizens!

Fellow OFWs can relate to the happiness brought by reuniting with loved ones after years of being apart.

Meanwhile, Hazel C. said that Sharmaine’s video made her miss her late mother. “Nakakainggit.

E Real, on the other hand, said the video shows the simple joys children can give their mother.
