Senator-elect Loren Legarda shared a photo with Alex and Toni Gonzaga; saying that her new-found friends are like sisters to her.
“Alex and Toni, @cathygonzaga @celestinegonzaga new found friends, like sisters, maybe daughters. Alex makes us laugh, we make ate Toni sing impromptu,” she said in an Instagram post.
She also congratulated Alex’s husband Mikee Morada for being the number one councilor in Lipa, Batangas, and thanked Toni’s husband Paul Soriano.
“Congratulations #1 councilor Mikey Morada, thank you Direk Paul Soriano and of course, ever so efficient and nice Jc, Ac, talented and creative @fifthsolomon and @uncle_jojo_cruz who silently smiles, laughs with us,” the senator-elect said.
She also shared how Alex explained to her what the popular “burger” hand sign means.
“Malay ko naman na ang hand sign na ‘yan ay ‘burger’? Hindi ko naman alam na ang burger na sinisigaw ay “ok ka” at hindi hamburger kasi gutom ang mga tao. Blessed Saturday to us.”
Alex appeared in her campaign ads, while Toni performed in UniTeam’s campaign rallies.
Senator-elect Legarda is among the 12 senators proclaimed by the Commission on Elections last Wednesday.
She ranked second to Robin Padilla in the senatorial race.
She also thanked the Filipino people for trusting her.
“From the bottom of my heart, I can say that it is you, the Filipino people who continue to give me the inspiration to work for you once again,” the senator-elect said in a separate post.
“Ako po ay lubos na nagpapasalamat sa Panginoong Diyos, sa aking mahal na pamilya, sa aking staff, sa lahat ng volunteers at sa mahigit na 24 milyong Pilipino na tumulong at nagtiwala po sa inyong lingkod. Salamat sa pagkakataong makapaglingkod nang muli.”
