Vina Morales is supporting the candidacy of her former boyfriend, Robin Padilla, who is one of the senatorial candidates of PDP-Laban Cusi wing.
In an Instagram post, Vina shared some clips with her joining Padilla’s recent campaign sortie in Bicol.
“Tinatanong pa ba yan kung sino po ang numero uno sa aking listahan sa Senado. Kundi ang Utol ko na si @robinhoodpadilla,” read Vina’s caption.

“Hindi po dahil sa naka trabaho ko s’ya sa industriya kundi dahil sa kabutihan at layunin ng kanyang Puso sa bawat kapwa,” she added.
The actress also attested that she personally witnessed Binoe’s generosity and his concern for the Filipino people, especially those asking him for help.
“Nuon pa man at ngayon, maski wala pa s’ya sa posisyon marami na po syang natulungan, isa po akong Saksi. Wala pong pinipili yan, Basta kaya nya , ibibigay niya at kung wala talaga, gagawa po yan ng paraan,” she said.
Vina and Robin were romantically involved in the early 90’s after meeting on the set of ‘Ang Utol Kong Hoodlum’.
They went on to star together in the film’s sequel, ‘Miss na Miss Kita: Ang Utol Kong Hoodlum 2’ and publicly admitted their relationship later.
In one of her previous interviews, the 44-year-old actress confessed she was then ‘crazy in love’ with Robin who was said to be her first boyfriend.
The two eventually split mainly because of Vina’s parent’s disapproval of Robin’s reputation as a womanizer.
The ‘Bad Boy of Philippine Movies’ is now happily married to Mariel Rodriguez-Padilla.
Meanwhile, Robin, who is also adopted as one of UniTeam’s senatorial bets, has posted a significant climb in numbers as shown in the recent Pulse Asia survey.
He ranked third behind frontrunners Raffy Tulfo and Loren Legarda with 42.9 percent preference votes.
While this was almost the same as in March’s survey, Padilla’s rise in ranking was primarily due to the other candidates slipping because of the drop in their preference votes, Pulse Asia noted.
