Indeed, winners never quit.

Maria Merlie Vitto Soberano-Selda proved this when she achieved her dream of becoming a full-fledged lawyer.

Maria, a 68-year-old mom from Cainta, Rizal, was among those who passed the 2020-2021 Bar Exam, the result of which was released by the Supreme Court on April 12, 2022.

According to a pep report, Loren Solas, Maria’s son, sent a video to GMA News where Maria’s reaction on passing the bar can be seen.

In the video, the new lawyer is obviously nervous as she searches for her name on the list of passers.

Later on, Maria shouted “Yes!” as she raises her right hand as a sign of victory upon seeing her name.

She also became emotional and could not stop crying.

She said her mother started studying law in 2012.

Loren also said that before her Mama Maria became a full -fledged lawyer, she was Top 9 in the chemistry board exam in 1978.

She first took the bar exam in 2018, but unfortunately, did not pass.

In her post Loren said, “God and everyone knows how much blood, sweat, and tears you’ve poured into everything you do, mum, and there was never a day that I doubted that you’ll finally attain your lifelong dream of becoming a lawyer.”

“I look up to you so much, mama, and I am so so so blessed and happy to have you as my mum and as my best friend. You are the smartest, kindest, most hardworking, full of compassion, and dedicated person I know, mama, and I will fight tooth and nail for you!!!”

“I love you so much, mama, wait for me, future pañera!!!

“Atty. Maria Merlie Vitto Soberano-Selda, 68 years old, lodicakes, MamaPixel.”
