Fans of former 1990s child stars Serena Dalrymple and Carlo Aquino could not be more delighted to see their idols again in one photo.
On Instagram, Serena shared a few throwback photos and a recent picture with Carlo, who played as her older brother in the 1998 film Bata Bata Paano ka Ginawa?
In the caption of the photos, Serena used Carlo’s iconic line in the caption, “Akala mo lang wala, pero meron! Meron!” Then, added the hashtags #batabatapaanokaginawa and #familyreunion.
The kids who used to watch them back then could not help but feel nostalgic seeing them together anew, while some mentioned how they miss watching the former child wonders on screen, especially Serena who left the country for good at the peak of her career.
“‘Pag napapanood ko siya sa mga old movie, hinahanap ko kung nasaan na siya ngayon kasi ang galing niya, promise! Sayang lang kasi hindi na natuloy career niya rito sa Pinas,” Instagram user @_memayyyy commented.
“Awww, one of my fave young child stars of all time talaga and fave movie din,” @jazziemarieshows said.
“Okay talaga mga actor at actress noon,” @ao_jem wrote. “‘Yong tipong tumatatak ang talent nila sa pag aarte. Mga mahuhusay.”
While @sugar.cvsales tagged their mom in the movie, veteran actress Vilma Santos Recto, saying, “Mga bagets n’yo po all grown up.”
Staying away from the limelight since she left the country, Serena has been living life to the fullest with an excellent career and a happy heart. Earlier, she shared her engagement with her fiancé Thomas Bredillet; disclosing that they met four years ago through a dating app called “Bumble” and none of them guessed that they would be spending the rest of their lives together.
