Sa gitna ng rehabilitasyon na ginagawa sa mga lugar na sinalanta ng bagyong Odette, nananatiling walang stable access sa kuryente ang maraming probinsiya kabilang na ang Siargao, kung saan may tirahan ang singer-actress na si Nadine Lustre.

Isang solar charging station para sa anumang bagay na nangangailangan ng kuryente at mga gadgets ng mga residente roon ang itinayo ng aktres sa tulong ng ilang kawani ng Greenpeace Philippines.
“We’ve installed a solar panel here where the locals can use so that they can charge gadgets – phones, lights, or anything that would need power,” wika ni Nadine.
Tumulong din daw ang ilang residente ng Barangay Molinao, partikular na ang mga kabataan, upang maitayo ang solar charging station.
“It’s really nice cause earlier we were setting up the charging station, there’s a table that was a bit wobbly na – it’s really the kids that were helping me fix the table,” pagbabahagi niya.
Bukod sa solar charging station, abala rin si Nadine kasama ang rumored boyfriend niyang si Christophe Bariou sa pamamahagi ng relief goods sa mga residente sa Siargao.
Si Christophe ay may negosyo doon – ang Maison Bukana Resort.

“Guys we are working day and night here to set up, coordinate and secure distribution points for reliefs goods especially rice and canned goods. Us, we are focusing on Malinao, Union and Mam On island,” post ni Christophe sa social media kamakailan lang.
”Greenpeace is helping a lot on installing and distribution of power stations and lights. It’s ant work here in the island. I see everybody trying to help their own area of responsibility. Thing are finally improving but we need all the help possible,” dagdag pa niya.

Malawak ang iniwang pinsala ng naturang bagyo. Ayon sa datos ng pamahalaan, umabot sa apat na bilyong piso ang pinsalang idinulot sito sa agrikultura at imprastruktura.
