Celebrity host Gretchen Ho had a funny reaction while reporting on the ‘turon-throwing’ incident during presidential aspirant and Mayor Isko Moreno’s recent motorcade in Manila.
The clip, which was posted by Ho herself on Instagram, showed her bursting into laughter as she reported on the turon episode on One News’ ‘The Big Story’.
“Di ko alam kung stress dahil sa election season or nakakatawa talaga yung turon,” Ho captioned her post.
“Pasensya na, di na po talaga mauulit. Mag-preview na ako ng light story,” the former volleyball star added.
Ho’s hilarious episode has been viewed more than 84,000 times already; with fellow celebrities commenting how they are both amused with the ‘turon’ incident and Ho’s contagious laughter.
“It has happened to all of us,” wrote newscaster Lyn Ching. “Sarap talaga tumawa.”
Anthony Pangilinan also joined in; saying, “Minsan bumigay na rin ako sa turon.”
Drew Arellano, meanwhile, commented “Wahahahaha” while Troy Montero dropped some laughing emojis on Ho’s post.
The ‘turon’ incident has gone viral on social media and drew mixed reactions from netizens.
It showed a supporter of Yorme desperately trying to give the Manila Mayor a piece of turon wrapped in plastic as the motorcade passes by.
However, the presidential aspirant appeared to ignore the supporter, or may have just overlooked him or her since almost everyone in the enthusiastic crowd seemed hell-bent on trying to shake the mayor’s hand.
Yorme also appeared to not even notice that a ‘turon’ was thrown and hit his arm. He was reportedly not hurt, according to the mayor’s camp.
But some netizen said it was very disrespectful of the supporter to do such a thing. Others, however, defended the supporter whose only intention may have been not to hurt but to show his or her support for the presidential bet.
