It all started with the tweet of new reporter Izzy Lee of ABS-CBN. She shared on Twitter on April 28 a few pictures of a homeless woman who hugged her as she was preparing for the day’s live report.
“So this happened at work today. A free hug,” Izzy shared on Twitter which got retweeted over 70.9 times and got 667.4K likes; with netizens commenting how a hug can change a person’s mood.

But the attention that Lee’s tweet got didn’t end there. Apparently, it caught the attention of some people who suspect that the homeless woman who hugged Lee was a family member whom they had been looking for for many years.
A netizen is hoping that the homeless woman captured hugging an ABS-CBN reporter is her long-lost aunt.

On Facebook, Patricia Pangilinan Macaldo shared old photos of her aunt Nena Liboon Pangilinan who has been missing since 2008. Patricia said her family has been trying to look for her aunt.
She also called on netizens to give her family a heads up if they see the lady she believes is her aunt.

Facebook users commented that they indeed see a resemblance between the lady and Patricia’s aunt. “Hawig na hawig po,” one netizen said.
Meanwhile, through social media there are netizens who have posted photos of the woman in the hope that she is the one being sought by the family of Macaldo or whoever her real family is.
In an update, certain netizens were able to make Lee’s mystery photo bomber speak up about her family and names surfaced. She said she is Melanie Dubos and she has siblings, including a sister named Mona Dubos.
Mona was fetched by the Kapamilya team of Lee and brought to Melanie who, through the help of concerned netizens, was located at Almanza Dos, Las Piñas. They are siblings allright.
Mona was so glad to finally find their sister, but all is not well so she could not be taken home to her son yet. She refused to even clean up or have a change of clothes; becoming violent when they try to do so. She had to be checked first and treated before she could finally come home to Mindanao.
