Reuniting with JoshLia other half for a movie this year, actress Julia Barretto expressed excitement about working anew with her ex-boyfriend Joshua Garcia, who remains to be her friend even after the end of their relationship in 2019.
In an interview with well-respected host Boy Abunda, Julia recalled how she felt their chemistry from the time they first worked together in the 2016 film Vince, and Kath, and James.
“I remember from the first day, Tito Boy, after the first scene, I went back to the tent and I told my team, I was like, ‘I’ve never felt this kind of chemistry with anybody that I’ve worked with. Good things will only come from here,’” she shared.
“That’s why we don’t give up on our tandem,” she continued; talking about their upcoming film which will be released under the production company Black Sheep.

From their first movie, the JoshLia tandem was able to make more films, including I Love You To The Stars and Back, Unexpectedly Yours, I Love You, Hater, and Block Z.
The two, however, walked on separate paths after ending their relationship. Julia got into a new relationship with her Between Maybes co-star Gerald Anderson while Joshua partnered onscreen with Janella Salvador in The Killer Bride.
But despite all the changes, the two remained good friends and Julia even mentioned in one of her interviews that she will love Joshua for the rest of her life even if they are no longer romantically involved.
“I love Joshua. I love that guy. I will love that guy until my last breath,” Julia said in an interview with ABS-CBN Hollywood correspondent Yong Chavez at the backstage of ASAP Natin ‘To held at the Bay Area, San Francisco, California.
The actress said her ex-boyfriend knows her by heart and has always been supportive and understanding of so many things.
“Very supportive and very understanding of so many things, and the guy knows me really well. So whatever happens in life, the guy knows me really well. He knows my heart,” she told the reporter.
