Yes! Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach is engaged to her boyfriend Jeremy Jauncey.
The couple announced this in an Instagram post. “We found the perfect place to celebrate and tell you guys,” Pia said along with a ring emoji.
Jeremy hinted about the engagement when he posted a photo of himself from their trip to Amanpulo last Wednesday.
“Sunsets in the Philippines are better than anywhere else in the world. Especially @amanpulo #amanpulo when you have something to celebrate,” he said.
They did not share more details about the engagement.
Pia’s pageant sisters like Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, Maxine Medina, Rachel Peters, and Bianca Guidotti congratulated the couple.
Pia and Jeremy have been dating for two years. In her anniversary greeting for Jeremy early this year, Pia said, “Can’t take my eyes (and ears, and nose, and mind) off you. Happy Anniversary, my love. @jeremyjauncey.”
To which Jeremy responded: “I love you baby. Happy Anniversary! We have a long and happy future ahead.”
On their first anniversary, Pia thanked Jeremy for making her feel loved.
“This one’s for you, my love. I’m so grateful for you. Thank you for always looking after me, encouraging me, and making me feel so loved and supported. To more adventures, more laughter, and more chicken burgers with you.”
Pia and Jeremy confirmed their relationship in June 2020 when their story was published on Tatler’s cover.
She said they did not immediately announce their relationship because they wanted to make sure that they built a strong foundation first.
“We wanted to make sure we set a good foundation for our relationship before we came out in the open. I’ve made the mistake of sharing too much too soon before, and I wanted to make sure I did it right this time,” she said.
