Robi Domingo shares feelings over poll results in touching poem; says 'no regrets'

Kapamilya actor and Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) host Robi Domingo has no regrets in being a certified ‘kakampink’ who supported the candidacy of losing presidential candidate VP Leni Robredo.

In a touching poem he shared recently on his social media accounts, Domingo stood firm in his beliefs that he fought for what is right.

“Walang pagsisisi dahil kami’y tumindig. Ipinaglaban ang pinaniniwalaan gamit ang tinig. Salamat sa mga Tropang nagkapit-bisig. Dahil pinakita niyo sa amin ang pag-asa at pag-ibig,” the actor-host wrote.

However, Robredo’s looming defeat seems inevitable as shown in the partial and unofffical results of election returns where she trailed behind Bongbong Marcos Jr., by half his votes.

For this, Domingo could only hope to overcome his disappointment and frustrations, but vowed to remain vigilant.

“Laman ng puso’y aking pinipilit. Na tanggalin ang panibugho’t galit. Demokrasya ay patuloy na igigiit. At ako’y ‘di na muling pipikit,” his heartfelt poem read.

Respecting the decision of the majority of the Filipino people who voted for Marcos, Domingo also wished  the incoming administration to succeed and eventually find solutions to the problems that has plagued this republic for decades.

He said,” Mananaig ang respeto sa naging desisyon. Para sa mga naluklok sa susunod na administrasyon. Ito na sana ang malaking pagkakataon, na ang mga problema’y mabigyan ng maganda at maayos na solusyon.”

Robi Domingo is one of the hundreds of celebrities who joined Robredo’s campaign sorties across the country and lent star power to the Vice President’s rallies; hoping to convince as many Filipinos as they can to choose their candidate.

However, their efforts seemed to have fallen short despite the mammoth crowds that trooped to Robredo’s rallies; begging the question whether those crowds actually delivered numbers in favor of the Vice President last May 9.

Robredo and her daughters are currently in New York to attend the graduation of her youngest daughter Jillian.

On her Thanksgiving rally last Friday in Ateneo, the incumbent vice president announced she will be launching the Angat Buhay NGO, supposedly the ‘largest volunteer network’, once her term expires in July.
