Presumptive Pres. Marcos camp respects VP Robredo’s plan to launch Angat Buhay NGO

The camp of presumptive Pres. Bongbong Marcos said Vice President Leni Robredo’s decision to launch Angat Buhay as a non-government organization (NGO) is within her rights and should be respected.

In an interview with Teleradyo, Marcos’ spokesperson Atty. Vic Rodriguez said that as long as VP Robredo will not be violating the law, she is free to do this.

“For as long as you are exercising your rights within the bounds of the law, sa tingin ko rerespetuhin yan ng kahit na sinong demokratikong pamahalaan at pamumuno, kagaya ng incoming Pres. Bongbong.”

However, he also said that violating the Constitution has corresponding consequences.

“Now, if you’ll be violating the law. If you’ll be violating or undermining the Constitution, may kaakibat na responsibilidad yon. Dapat handa ka ring harapin kung anuman yon,” he said.

VP Robredo announced during her Thanksgiving Party last week that they will launch the Office of the Vice President’s (OVP) Angat Buhay program as an NGO when she steps down from office on July 1.

She said that the “widest volunteer network” will be open to anybody in need of help.

VP Robredo also called on her volunteers to wipe their tears when they’re done crying because they still have work to do.

Dahil may trabaho pa tayo.”
