Going through a hard time following her breakup with ex-husband Jason Hernandez, popular singer Moira Dela Torre’s fans feel different now watching the official lyric video of her song Kumpas.
The lyric video uploaded on YouTube on Thursday, June 9, immediately got a place in the list of trending videos; generating over 186,000 views, and a lot of comments from fans talking about the song and extending support to the Kapamilya artist.

Kumpas is actually not a new song. It was produced to be the official soundtrack for the latest KathNiel series 2 Good To Be True, and was inspired not only by the show but also by the real-life love story of lead stars Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla.
“Hindi lang ito sa synopsis ng ‘2 Good To Be True’ naka-base but sa documentary ng KathNiel. It was really made for KathNiel and 2 Good To Be True,” said Moira during the grand media conference where she first performed the song that talks about someone special being one’s “compass” when he/she is lost.
Despite this background, a lot of people still relate this song to Moira’s experiences; from her breakup with Jason to the process of healing.

In a recent interview with Magandang Buhay hosts, Moira admitted that she did not expect she will be able to relate to her song Paubaya one day.
“I guess sa lahat naman ng pinagdadaanan ko sa buhay, laging ‘yon ‘yong initial reaction ko eh. I always say, ‘What did I do wrong?’ So especially now. Saan ba ako nagkulang? Dati akala ko ‘yong Paubaya kanta ko lang,” she said.
Still, the singer believes in the true love that comes from the Lord and the healing that goes with it.

“I also know na God makes all things beautiful in His time and ‘yon talaga ‘yong pinanghawakan ko na I may feel like a broken glass right now but God can make me a diamond again and I know I’ll be whole again,” she expressed. “Mag-fail man lahat sa buhay ko, I know God never will and alam ko sa puso ko na true love exists and in my life, it may not be in human form but it exists in my life because God is with me.”
