Itinalaga ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang beteranong aktor na si Tirso Cruz III para pamunuan ang Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP).
Nanumpa si Cruz bilang bagong chairperson at chief executive officer ng film council sa harap ng Pangulo sa isang seremonya sa Malacañang noong Martes. Ang iginagalang na artista ang pumalit kay FDCP chair Liza Diño.
Isang video clip ng oath-taking ceremony ang nai-post sa Facebook ng Radio Television Malacañang.
Ang konseho, na kaakibat na ahensya sa ilalim ng Tanggapan ng Pangulo, ay naatasang magpatupad ng mga patakaran at programa sa pelikula na naglalayong isulong ang pag-unlad ng lokal na industriya ng pelikula.
Nag-live naman si Liza Diño sa kanyang FB page at nagpasalamat sa mga patuloy na sumusuporta sa kanya noong Martes kung kailan rin in-appoint si Cruz.
“Hi everyone. I’m still here at the office. I just wanna let you know that the agency has also read the latest development regarding the chairmanship of the FDCP online, and while we haven’t received any official communication from the Office of the President, that we are preparing for a smooth process sa transition and turnover ng FDCP to our new chair.”
“And we will welcome him pagdating na pagdating niya dito,” pagtatapos ni Diño.
Nagpasalamat naman si Chair Diño sa kaniyang mga tagasuporta. sabi niya, “I just want to take this opportunity to thank everyone sa lahat po ng suporta ninyo, sa lahat ng mga messages ninyo, thank you so much for your love and support.”
