Photos of a mother and daughter caught the attention of social media users when a netizen got nostalgic after witnessing a heart-melting scene on the last day of a Regionalized Bar Exam held in Cebu.
As a backgrounder, Bar examinations in the Philippines are generally held on all Sundays of November, but because of COVID, the 2020/2021 Bar was shelved for two years. However, the Bar exams finally pushed through earlier this month.

A member of the Board of the IBP Cebu, Jeah Gacang, who was at the Regionalized Bar Exam in the area shared some thoughts via a Facebook post after witnessing a heartwarming scene on the last day of the bar exam. She shared that something heart-melting caught her eye during the last day of the first ever Regionalized Bar Exam which she described as ‘the Best Bar Ever.’
She said in her post: “I happened to be one of the Proctors’ Bar Ops of IBP Cebu and witnessing this mother and daughter story near UC Banilad, one of the examination sites in Cebu managed to evoke some nostalgia.
I’ve seen them even from the parking area. I saw how the mother gave the transparent bag to her daughter while sincerely talking to her. I thought it would end there but I was wrong.
The mother walked with her daughter from the parking area up to the other end of the skywalk. As much as I want to walk past them, I can’t bear to interrupt their moment. So I stayed behind at a distance. I don’t know them but I can vividly see the genuine love and support of a mother to her child who will face a battle in life. Similarly, a confident and fierce child ready to conquer any challenge that lies ahead knowing she has someone who deeply believes and prays for her. My heart melts as I see them in a long and tight hug, the mother giving thumbs up, then 2 thumbs up, fist up and more so, when she never leaves her eye on her child as she go nearer to the gate. She remained still. I guess she was intimately praying for the success of her child. Haaaaaay maka greet mn sad ta ug happy mother’s day sa tanang mama/guardian bisan di mother’s day.”

The board member must have been touched to the core by the scene that took place right in front of her; evoking sentiments related to parenting and family matters, as well as emotional support.
“By nature, our parents only desire and dream what’s best for us. To this gal, hope you can make it. To all Bar examinees, please hug and thank your parents/loved ones after the exam. One way or another, they have been part of this wonderful journey and made you closer to your dream,” Jeah then concludes her post.
Many were touched by the message she conveyed and the photos that showed how a parent feels over a child’s endeavors. Indeed, the photos tell that great story of parental love. Many netizens were also able to relate to the scenario; sharing their own stories and thoughts.
Comments poured; reaching over, 1,300 as of posting. Because it was worth reading and pondering over, more than 23,000 netizens have already shared the post and over 70K have reacted with positivity and love.
