Actress Alexa Ilacad just celebrated her 22nd birthday recently and a Philippine-based non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of animals in need is so thankful that she and her fans chose their org as recipient of their kindness.
The PAWSsion Project, on their Facebook page, expressed their heartfelt gratitude to actress Alexa Ilacad and her loyal fans for setting up a very meaningful celebration of her birthday.
“We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Alexa Ilacad and her fans for organizing a very meaningful birthday celebration!”
Turns out that in lieu of gifts, the celebrant asked her friends and fans to donate to the PAWSsion Project instead.
The organization shared that in total, they received 85,000 in cash donations from her birthday which were all used to complete the cattery for a certain Mr. George’s 20 cats, the rescue operation of the pound dogs and the vet bill of hit and run rescue, Zorro.
The birthday organizers also brought in-kind donations for the organization’s Bulacan rescues.
To continue, they also shared that “Alexa has always been a vocal advocate and she even used her influence to promote our organization while she was inside the PBB house. She’s rescued and feed strays herself and has even adopted one of the stray cats she feeds. We love and appreciate you, @alexailacad ! Happy birthday and may you be blessed abundantly!”

Meanwhile, the ALEXAnators also shared a video clip of the furry celebration via the group’s Instagram account. They really exerted much effort to prepare for this fundraising birthday event for Alexa.

We also had treats for the rescued animals, steamed hotdogs for dogs and boiled chicken for cats.”

Alexa has been known to be a dog and cat lover, such that whenever she sees some strays she would hastily buy to feed some of them.
A Twitter user even posted: “I can attest to this! When @alexailacad, Tita Dina, and I had dinner pre-pandemic, there were cats outside the restaurant we were at so we went to the grocery and bought some cat food for them!”
