Long before actor Arjo Atayde became one of the most versatile actors of his generation, he was a struggling newbie in the entertainment industry; making lots of acting mistakes and getting countless takes despite doing his best.
On Instagram, celebrating his decade-long journey as an actor, Arjo looked back at one of those moments: his Day 1.
“I remember day 1 as if it was just yesterday…18 takes on my first ever scene and the director wanted to send me home,” he wrote adding “LOL” (laughing out loud).
But that was a really long time ago. Arjo, now known for his exemplary acting skills, is celebrating his 10th year in the industry and he could not be more grateful for getting to where he is right now and having the best people around.
“Here we are, 10 years later, surprisingly still here and still standing. More than the work I have been blessed with, I am grateful that the past 10 years have also blessed me with some of the best friendships and truest relationships I’ve had. So to all of you who have been a part of this overwhelming journey, thank you for filling my years with love, friendship, and inspiration,” he expressed.
“I am so blessed to get to do what I love and I’m still here for the same reason since day 1…I just want to act,” he said.
Ria’s touching message for Arjo
Meanwhile, Arjo’s sister Ria Atayde definitely has the most touching message for him. On Instagram, Ria uploaded a childhood photo with Arjo and expressed how proud she is of him for reaching such milestone as an actor.
“This dude marks his 10th year in showbiz today. What a beautiful 10-year career it has truly been! I am so proud of you and of everything you have achieved,” she said.
“But among all the roles you’ve portrayed, my favorite would still have to be my brother because even with the craziness of everything else, that’s one thing you’ve never forgotten to do—to stay humble and to be the same Arjo you have always been,” she continued.
Ria also expressed excitement on an upcoming project with her brother, seeing it as a blessing that it is happening while he marks his decade-long stay in the industry.
“More than anything, I am grateful and so honored that on your 10th year, we’re working together. Thank you for not only inspiring me to always do my best, but for guiding me through this crazy world, too. Love you, @arjoatayde! Happy 10th anniversary in showbiz.
