“144 Million Pesos is about to be wasted instead of being used to help us, Odette victims,” aniya.

“No less than 144 million pesos of public funds is about to get used for a bridge-project that nobody wants…Most of the residents of this area are strongly against it. This bridge will destroy one of the most peaceful and greenest areas in General Luna, this area hosts major eco-luxury resorts and famous natural beach areas that are open to all. It will also destroy a great amount of protected seagrass and mangrove forests.”
“The local and Provincial DENR have already passed resolutions against this project and they have recognized that it would seriously endanger the local ecosystem and protected area without providing a benefit to the public. Still they are insisting to push this project forward.”
“How come a project like this one is being fast-tracked by the DPWH and the Provincial Government while most of Siargaonon are starving and suffering every single day from the terrible effects of the super typhoon?”

“How come this 144 million pesos budget is pushed for an economically and environmentally destructive project? There is already a road that goes to Union from Malinao, we don’t need another one. The DENR has said that it will impact the ecosystem there greatly…”
