It’s amazing how a simple artwork captures attention, touches hearts, and brings a number of realizations—just this certain masterpiece that shows the “miracle of life” using only 10 safety pins.
On the Facebook group Weird (and Wonderful) Secondhand Finds That Just Need To Be Shared, a photo of the work of art was uploaded by member Katherine Brown.
The simple yet deep artwork features safety pins that symbolizes marriage, pregnancy, giving birth, and parenthood. A lot of Facebook users got instantly amazed by the lovely piece of art; leaving some deep and hilarious comments, as well as questions and opinions about the style and the concept as a whole.
“That’s the best thing I’ve ever seen,” group member A. Adams commented.
“Weight of all past and future generations summed up in 10 safety pins and a dollar store frame,” K. Swonger wrote.
“I am not sure that’s the same safety pin in that last photo. She might have replaced him for not showing up when junior was born,” S. Gaither joked, pertaining to the third frame which shows only two pins, the “mother” and the “child”.
“I feel like I could make a really sad one of these. Imagine, safety pins making you sad,” A. F. Stanson said.
While K. Samson, well, literally, viewed such art from a different angle, “If you look at it backwards…she ate her kid.”
On the other hand, some also think that such frame is not actually an artwork, but rather a pregnancy announcement.
Who knows? Anyway, it’s normal, works of art and products of creativity make people think.
