Hindi pinaglapas ni Gab Valenciano ang komento mula sa isang basher tungkol sa kaniyang pinagdaanang depresyon.
Ibinahagi niya sa Twitter ang screenshot ng iniwang komento ng isang netizen.
“This is a reflection of society today. Kung sino ka man, God bless you. Trying to insult me means you are triggering millions of Filipinos struggling to make ends meet. Shame on you,” sabi niya.
Sabi ni Gab, mapalad siyang may mga nagmamahal at sumusuporta sa kaniya.
“I have a beautiful family, support system and a God who loves me. Not my fault you’re miserable.”

Matatandaang ipinagtanggol si Gab ng kaniyang mga magulang na sina Angeli at Gary mula sa mga netizens na tumutuligsa sa kanilang anak.

Ikinatuwa naman ni Gab ang mga natanggap na mensahe ng pagsuporta mula sa ibang netizens. Paliwanag niya, pinili niyang magsalita bilang National Red Cross Mental Health Ambassador.
“I am speaking for those who may not have the same support and strength to combat such remarks and cruelty,” aniya.
“I’ve lost too many friends to such an act, and I’ve seen and heard too many stories of people, especially the youth, give up BECAUSE of irresponsible and carnal comments, tweets, and messages.”
Ani Gab, hindi mahalaga kung ang ganitong mga salita ay mula sa troll o tunay na tao dahil pareho lang ang epekto nito sa mga may kinahaharap na mental health problem.
“Trolls or not, fake or real accounts, people who are struggling see and feel those words no matter if they’re true or not… and to them, it’s as real as the air we breathe.”
Mensahe niya sa mga may pinagdaraanan: “If you get to read this and are going through rough water (or know people), know that you are not alone. We’re in this together. DM me or Red Cross Youth and we will do what we can to help and also point you to the right direction so you are able to gain that fighting chance at life.”
