Dinepensahan ng senatorial aspirant na si Robin Padila ang presidentiable at dating Sen. Bongbong Marcos sa foreign media na nagtanong hinggil sa umano’y pag-iwas nito sa pagbibigay ng “serious interviews.”
Sa kaniyang Facebook page, ibinahagi ni BBC correspondent Howard Johnson ang clip kung saan tinanong niya si Marcos, “Can you really be a good president if you’re not doing serious interviews? Are you hiding something from the public?”
Tumawa lang si Marcos saka lumakad palayo sa reporter.
Ibinahagi ni Robin ang video na ito at sinabing isa siyang avid follower ng BBC.
“Your news agency has always been responsible in covering human interest, especially historical facts. My soon to be President Bongbong Marcos is the most serious presidential candidate in this 2022 elections.”
“BBC ‘was’ very good in research. I fervently believe that only you can make this ‘was an is’ if only you will have the time and effort to watch his past interviews. Just like all other questions being thrown to him now similar to yours is a joke. Provocative.”
Dagdag ni Robin, kung gusto ng journalist na makapanayam nang seryoso si Marcos, dapat ay bigyan niya ito ng respeto.
“If you want to have a serious interview with him, give him the respect and the courtesy. Do not act, speak nor ask like you are our master and we are your slaves,” sabi pa ni Robin.
“Respect begets respect. You are a foreigner in our beloved country. We have a culture here. As long as you are here, act like a foreigner and a visitor.”
Sa comment section, muling sinabi ni Robin na hindi mapipilit ng dayuhang sumagot sa kanilang tanong ang Pilipino sa kaniyang sariling bansa.
“Nandito tayo sa bayan natin. Walang sinoman dayuhan ang maaaring pilitin tayo sumagot sa kanilang tanong lalo’t may halong kabulastugan.”

Matatandaang pumalag din noon si Robin sa nagsabing pang-elementary ang kaniyang plataporma. Tugon ni Robin, noon pa man ay pinamumunuan na ng mga may magagandang plataporma ang bansa ngunit wala namang nangyayari rito.
