Arnell Ignacio offers ride to stranded 'Kakampinks': 'This is the way to do it'

Campaign season has officially wrapped up with the Miting de Avance of two presidential frontrunners – former Sen. Bongbong Marcos and Vice President Leni Robredo – attracting huge crowds.

Arnell Ignacio shared the light moment between him, a vocal supporter of the BBM-Sara tandem, and a group of “Kakampinks” who were stranded after attending Leni-Kiko’s Miting de Avance.

In a Facebook live, Arnell showed that he was in the car with a group of youth looking for a ride home.

“Hi! So we were looking for a ride and Sir Arnell Ignacio eventually came and saved us,” one of the passengers said.

Arnell said he noticed that they were already panicking so he decided to offer them a ride.

“Kasi, kanina ko pa napapansin na walang masasakyan ‘yong mga kasama natin na Pink! Nakita ko wala talaga silang masasakyan, makikita sa mukha nila di ba? ‘Yong mukha ng panic na where are we going? Meron ditong taga-Guadalupe, merong Pasig,” he said.

They then talked about how toxic the campaign period has been.

“O, di ba, ang ganda naming tingnan? This is the way to do it,” Arnell said.

To which another passenger answered: “Ito ‘yong patunay na nagpapabawas tayo ng toxicity, di ba? Alam naman nating grabe yung bigat ng labanan e.”

“Alam mo actually hindi naman dapat ganyan kabigat yung labanan e. It’s social media. Ilang eleksyon na ang naabutan ko. Susmaryosep. Senador pa lang si Gloria Macapagal,” Arnell responded.

He also answered a netizen who accused him of being “plastic” for helping “Kakampinks” instead of fellow BBM.

“Let me hug you. I still have much to give even to those who hate me,” he said.
