As the 2022 National and Local Elections draw nearer, actor Piolo Pascual has a reminder to voters.
“Hindi puwedeng pumikit na lang at umasang pagdilat natin, nagbago na ang mundo,” Piolo tweeted.
He earlier endorsed the presidency of Vice President Leni Robredo, who Piolo believes inspires unity.
“Ang totoong Unity ay pagkakaisa ng taumbayan. Pilipino para sa kapwa Pilipino. Kay Leni Robredo sigurado tayo diyan,” he said along with a video explaining why he chose to support the Vice President.
“Ang totoong pagkakaisa ay isang pangako na walang maiiwan. Lahat tayo magkakasabay na humahakbang para sa pangarap na lipunan. At ang totoong pagkakaisa ay inspirasyon at panawagan na tayong lahat ay gumawa ng kabutihan.”

VP Leni, who is a vocal fan girl of Piolo, expressed her gratitude to the actor during a Facebook live stream.
“Thank you very much for the support. Siguro nakarating na sa’yo even before, that I’m such a huge, huge fan. So ‘yong pag-declare mo ng support, it really meant the world. So maraming salamat,” she said.
Malacañang has declared May 9 as a special non-working holiday “to enable the people to properly exercise their right to vote.”
Comelec Commissioner Marlon Casquejo said they are 100 percent all set for May 9.
“We are all systems go. We are just waiting for the date of the elections. We have conducted final testing and sealing (FTS) and the problems we have already addressed.”
