Presumptive Pres. Bongbong Marcos cites Paul Soriano, Toni Gonzaga's valuable help during campaign

Director Paul Soriano thanked presumptive Pres. Bongbong Marcos for his kind words for him and wife Toni Gonzaga.

In a short clip that Paul shared on Instagram, former Sen. Marcos expressed gratitude to Paul and Toni for the important roles that they played during his campaign.

Former Sen. Marcos said it was Toni, through her YouTube interview, that started his campaign.

“We should congratulate them for the fine work that they did. In front of me is Ms. Toni Gonzaga. Sabi ko sa kaniya kanina, siya ang nag-start ng kampanya na ito. Kasi nung pumutok ‘yung kaniyang interview sa akin, syempre kinriticize ‘yun. Ang tapang-tapang nito,” he said.

Former Sen. Marcos said he told Paul that Toni is a “badass” for rising through the criticisms she got for the interview.

He added that when they saw that Toni’s interview of him was earning millions of views, he thought that maybe he can run for a government post again.

“Nung nag-10 million, 11 million ‘yung aming interview, sabi ko may pag-asa siguro tayo. Baka pwede tayo tumakbo.”

Meanwhile, he also thanked Paul for directing his campaign ads.

“Sinundan pa ni Paul that did all our ads. Sa aking palagay, nobody can contest na malayong-malayo. Ginagaya nga e. Yung dalawa, tatlong ads natin, ginagaya e. We kept the momentum going and the message alive,” former Sen. Marcos said.

In the latest Comelec transparency server data, wherein 98.35% of the election returns has been processed, former Sen. Bongbong Marcos kept his wide lead (31,104,175), over Vice President Leni Robredo (14,822,051).
