“Who knew that I’ll end up marrying this handsome smart sweet (now) American dude this year?” former child star Serena Dalrymple thought; recalling how she met her fiancé Thomas Bredillet through a dating app nearly half a decade ago.
On Instagram, Serena shared that she and Thomas met four years ago through a dating app called “Bumble”. Looking back, none of them guessed that they would be spending the rest of their lives together.
“Four years ago today, I went out on a date to meet this French dude I matched on Bumble. Who knew that I’ll end up marrying this handsome, smart, sweet (now) American dude this year?” read the caption of her post.
Replying to the comment of actor Carlo Aquino, her fellow child star in Bata, Bata…Pa’no Ka Ginawa?, Serena referred to their love story as an “online dating app success story”.
To note, the 90s star posted a photo of them while flaunting her engagement ring in July last year; making thousands of social media users, especially the batang 90s, happy and excited for their next chapter.
Carlos Agassi finds love on Tinder
Just like Serena, another actor found his happy ending through a dating app. In an episode of Eat Bulaga‘s Bawal Judgmental, Sarina Yamamoto, Carlos Agassi’s non-showbiz girlfriend, shared meeting him on Tinder.
“Akala ko talaga noong una poser ‘yong account niya, so nag-swipe right ako para ma-confirm kung legit talaga ‘yong account niya tapos ayon, legit naman. Lumipat kami sa Instagram and [nakita ko na] verified ‘yong account niya,” she narrated.
A week after regularly chatting online, the two decided to meet and the rest is history.
“No’ng nakita ko siya, sabi ko, ‘Wow ang ganda niya.’ Tapos, when we started talking, ang bait niya and then ‘yon parang love at first sight,” the actor shared.
