“Congratulations to me and to my world!”
Such was the greeting of 22-year-old Jestoni Bigael to himself and to his girlfriend Karezza Quisquisan, who’s 21. Jestoni shared their photo on his Facebook wall where they are both wearing toga.
The couple’s dreams have come true as students,. Not only did they graduate from college but both finished their respective courses with flyring colors!
Jestoni graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education-Major in General Sciences while Karezza graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology on June 15-16 at the Leyte Normal University.

The two are both student leaders at their university and this is where their romance began.
The couple said their relationship is not a hindrance to achieve their success but it served as their inspiration to improve their education.
It was not difficult, they said, to understand each other because they have the same priority and that is to be able to finish school which is also for their better future.
“Relationship is not a hindrance. Gawing inspiration ang relationship and siyempre before ka pumasok sa relationship ay always know your priorities,” Karezza said.

They added that it is important in their relationship to balance or manage time for their relationship and learning.
“Palagi naman pina-plan ‘yung mga schedule namin. For example, mayroon kaming special ocassions, anniversary na nataon na exam namin, nagpa-plan kami na-reschedule muna ang pagse-celebrate so we could focus sa exam at nag-agree muna,” Jestoni said.
For the couple, their understanding of each other has been the main ingredient for them to achieve their dreams in life.
Meanwhile, Karezza also shared the same photo on her Facebook wall along with her message for her boyfriend.

“WE DID IT! Cheers to us for surviving four long years of college. We have come such a long way, facing countless challenges and surpassing all of them. We sometimes thought of giving up in the middle of stormy days, but in the end, we would always remind ourselves that our dreams are bigger than our problems. Now, here we are, slowly reaching our goals together just like what we dreamed of when we were still in our first year of college – to graduate with flying colors. (bonus na ang academic awards),” she posted.
This couple is really inspiring, right? This proves that being in a relationship while completing your education is possible, but only if you know how to handle both well. Well, they did!
