Thousands of fans expressed sadness as a video of singer Juan Karlos “JK” Labajo performing his hit song Buwan with different lyrics went viral a few days after announcing his separation with model-turned-beauty queen Maureen Wroblewitz.
In the Facebook group APPPPC (Official), member Jonathan Dela Cruz uploaded a video taken from one of JK’s recent gigs. Instead of singing the actual song, the OPM artist changed some of the lyrics.
“Ako’y sa’yo, ika’y ‘di akin. Ganda mo pa rin sa paningin. Ako ngayo’y nag-iisa, umaasang ako’y tabihan na,” he sang in the first part of the performance that fans labeled as “Buwan–Brokenhearted Version”. As of writing, the video already has more than 53,000 reactions and over 29,000 shares.

On Facebook, Juan Karlos posted a picture of him with Maureen, along with a bittersweet message that broke the hearts of their supporters, confirming his breakup with his longtime girlfriend.

“Magka-ibigan na ngayo’y matalik na magkaibigan. Lagi mong tandaan na kahit pagbaliktarin mo man ang mundo, kahit saang lupalop man ng kalawakan, ikaw pa rin ang nag-iisa kong buwan. Maraming salamat, mahal kita, at hanggang sa muli,” he wrote in the caption, reminding fans on the music video of his hit song Buwan, which starred him and Maureen in 2018.

Meanwhile, Maureen posted on Instagram a quote saying, “Life is not happening to you. Life is happening for you.” Then, added the caption, “Some things come to an end and that’s okay. But now it’s time for us to grow on our own.”
JK commented on the post, saying he sees himself as the “luckiest person in the world” for getting the chance to spent the past years with Maureen.
“I am the luckiest person in the world to have spent the past years of my life with you and I wouldn’t choose anybody else to have spent those years with. You’ve taught me so much and I have learned, I am learning, and I will learn more,” he expressed.
“We are both so young and we have to enjoy ourselves. I want to see you succeed. I love seeing you achieve your dreams. You will. We will. Here’s to growth and love for ourselves. For there is no greater love than self-love. Dankëschon, Ich liebe dich and auf wiedersehen,” continued.

“It is really communication. He knows everything about me and I feel really comfortable in telling him everything. Communication and trust is really important,” she said in an old interview.
