As the term of the 16th President of the Philippines Rodrigo Roa Duterte comes to an end come June 30, 2022, avid supporters have expressed their desire to take part in tribute efforts to express their gratitude to ‘Tatay Digong’ as fondly called by many.
Here and abroad, Filipinos have shared on social media photos of their Dutete shirts and hoodies; highlighting their appreciation and gratitude to the President in his effort to do what he thinks is best for the country and the people especially during the pandemic.
One of them is the Davao City homegrown mall, NCCC, which recently launched “Salamat, Tatay Digong” shirts to honor their kababayan President as he nears the end of his term.
Customers donning the shirt may post their photos together with a message of appreciation to the president at NCCC Malls Facebook page. Five winners with best caption are slated to receive P500 gift card each.

Moreover, the avid Duterte supporter Krizette Laureta Chu have just posted billboard photos of the President on her Facebookpage, announcing that Salamat PRRD billboards for the special tribute event on June 26 are now up in 10 locations in the country.
Earlier she reminded fellow supporters to “Please save June 26 for our thanksgiving and farewell concert or rally to PRRD.”

Chu also spearheaded printing of ‘Salamat PRRD’ hoodies and shirts” a few months back for the June 26 event as tribute to Tatay Digong. Supporters of the President from around the globe shared photos of themselves wearing the tribute clothes which Chu also happily shared on her page which has nearly 400K followers.
The designs were also shared freely by Chu for those who could initiate printing whether on shirts, tarpaulins or placards for the June 26 event. The more, the merrier!

In another social media post, she also made it known that a special book (limited edition) has been prepared for the well-loved president.
She posted, “Proudly presenting… the Salamat PRRD book. Maraming nag trabaho dito. Maraming nagsulat dito. Maraming namili ng entries para dito. Group effort ito para kay PRRD, from many of us. Also magaling ang editor ng book. Pero ayoko muna sabihin yung loob. Soon when we can do little sneak peeks (emoji).”
She disclosed that she has to sell all the other books “kasi isa lang naman ibibigay ko. Book will be available AFTER we give it to PRRD.”
There appears to be no problem here as many have ordered and more are still expressing their wish to have a copy of the Salamat PRRD book. Details pertaining to pre-orders have also been disclosed on Facebook.

On a side note, President Duterte autographed ‘Salamat PRRD’ hoodies after leading the groundbreaking ceremony of the Philippine Sports Training Center (PSTC) in Bataan; photos of which were reshared by KLC herself on Facebook.
“AKO YUNG GUMAWA NITO KAHIT ISA WALA AKONG AUTOGRAPHED HOODIE!!!!!! OK WAIT KUNYARI HAPPY AKO FOR OTHERS.
“Wow this is so nice naman, so lucky naman of the others! ‘ she commented in jest, but likewise hoping to have her hoodie signed too, for real.

In behalf of the supporters of the President globally, Chu shared this on Independence day.
“It was an honor to fight alongside all of you during these last six years. For the last time under the Duterte administration, let’s get together on June 26. This is not just our thank you to PRRD, but his thank you TO THE FILIPINO. We offer this to him and this is also his chance to give you one final message of thanks and (maybe) reminders.
“Please try to make it wherever you are. And please share.
“You are welcome to bring messages on placards so he can see them. Pls also bring garbage bag. We clean up after ourselves, just like we did in 2016.”
