Since she was a child, Bea — the lead actress in the iconic Filipino movie One More Chance and is now starring in the Philippine adaptation of Korean drama Start-Up — has been fond of using inexpensive but effective do-it-yourself natural skincare.

In one of her vlogs on YouTube, she shared these beauty secrets to her followers and inspire everyone that luxury brands are not always the answer and everyone can be beautiful and feel good about themselves even if all they have for their skin are the usual things they have at home.

First, she shared that calamansi scrub lightens dark spots.

“Just leave it on for 30 minutes or more. Then rinse it with warm water,” she noted.

“Ito iyong secret na ginagawa sa akin ni Mama noon….Sobrang effective siya!” she said.

[Mama used to do this to me when I was young. This is very  effective!]

Bea for Start-Up

For the Philippine version of Start-Up,  Bea will team up with popular leading man Alden Richards—and their directors Jerry Lopez Sineneng and Dominic Zapata couldn’t get over their “natural chemistry”; saying the two are making their jobs “easier” by bringing magic to every scene.

“They brought life sa characters na in-assign sa kanila, hindi lang life kung hindi napakahusay na pagbibigay-buhay sa characters na ibinigay sa kanila. When they’re together in a scene, magic. It lights up! Meron silang dalawang chemistry,” Direk Jerry said, as reported by PEP.

While Direk Dominic added, ““I think the way they do it, I don’t really know the process, ‘no, kasi pareho naman kaming hindi artista ni Direk Jerry. Pero I think, ang ginagawa ng artista is they find the most likable things in each other and they feed off of that para ma-create nila yung chemistry.”

“Because they’re both so very likeable people, the chemistry must have come really easy for them. They’re very likeable people,” he went on.
