Andrea Brillantes revealed in an interview that her “baby talk”, which went viral, was not intentional; it just comes out.
In an interview with Karen Davila via the latter’s YouTube channel, Andrea mentioned that her trending “baby talk” last month didn’t come out on purpose. Rather, she said it just comes out like that especially when she feels that someone close to her is taking care of her.
Apparently, she is the youngest among her siblings and as a child she revealed she lacked attention and did not grow up with her parents.
She said she does not notice her “baby talk” when she speaks and sometimes she is just surprised when people tease her.
“‘Yung pagbe-baby talk ko na palaging nagte-trending, voice ko talaga siya pero hindi siya ‘yung napipili ko subconsciously. Bigla lang siya nagsi-switch kasi nung bata ako kulang ako sa pansin — bunso ako then hindi ako lumaki sa parents ko – baby-baby talaga ako,” she said.
“Minsan tsaka ko na lang siya mari-realize ‘pag inaasar na ako ng tao na nagbe-baby talk ako,” she added.
She also disclosed that her way of speaking changes only when she is at work and has a role to play.
It can be recalled that Andrea’s ‘baby talk‘ went viral while they were buying from a store in Siargao.
Meanwhile, her candid answers to Davila’s questions and spontaneous revelations about her life and experiences earned admiration from netizens. Her struggles as a breadwinner since she was very young also pulled at the heartstrings.

The celebrity couple shared they went to pick up trash at the beach they went to in Siargao in solidarity with their clean up drive.
“Be part of the solution not part of the pollution,” Andrea said in her post on Instagram last June 3.
In her post the actress encouraged tourists to cooperate in such clean up drives on the island, “Sana if mag-visit kayo dito sa Siargao or sa any island eh mag- participate din kayo sa clean up drives.”
