Si Miss Universe 2021 Beatrice Luigi Gomez ay nagtapos na sa Unibersidad ng San Jose-Recoletos!
Nagbigay ng talumpati ang beauty queen, na nakakuha ng mass communication degree, bilang Most Outstanding Graduate.
Sinabi niya na hinamon siya ng panahon at napahinto sa kanyang pag-aaral hindi lamang isang beses, ngunit dalawang beses.
“I took the regular program hoping that I would finish my studies along with my batchmates but God had me take a different path,” saad ni Beatrice.
“There were life lessons I had to learn first in order for me to value and earn where I am today. I was already in my last year of college when I had to leave school because of an opportunity that I had to take,” pagpapatuloy pa niya.
Ayon pa sa 27-anyos na pumasok siya sa public service at hindi nagpatuloy ng kanyang pag-aaral. Gayunpaman, nanatiling mahalaga sa kanya ang pagtatapos ng kanyang degree.
“Had I ever been discouraged? Many times. It was a constant struggle because I only had onee more year left to finish college,” aniya. “It was like my degree was so close yet so far at hand.”
Sinabi ni Beatrice na ang pandemya ay nagbigay sa kanyang ng daan upang muling mag-focus sa pag-aaral, ngunit napalaban naman siya sa Miss Universe Philippines.
“Even as I was in that competition, I had that urge of wanting my degree done. So the moment I got back from that competition, I focused on what needs to be prioritized and now I am finally here with all of you.”
Sa Instagram, ibinahagi rin ni Beatrice ang larawan niya sa campus at nagpasalamat sa USJ-R at ngayon ay matagumpay na nakapagtapos ng kolehiyo.
“This is where I learned to break barriers and empower lives. I owe most of my successes to the people who taught me the values that I needed in order to not just withstand but outstand life,” aniya.
