The video of a Jollibee service crew touched the hearts of netizens where Jofel Cheng can be seen feeding an old man, Tatay Richard, at a restaurant in Bagong Silang, Quezon City.
It was found out that Tay Richard had a stroke and it was difficult for him to eat alone; much less move his hands.
“Na-stroke na po kasi si Sir Richard kaya hindi na po talaga makapagsalita and hindi na niya po magalaw ‘yung kamay niya,” Jofel said on a ‘The Philippine Star‘ feature.

Jofel shared that Tatay Richard asks for alms and when he has enough money he buys food at their branch.
The old man also asks for assistance to get the payment for his food. The crew has to get the money from his bag because it is difficult for him to move.

“Nagmamalimos din po si Sir Richard ng pagkain dito, parang ipon po ‘ata niya kasi po ‘pag pinapakuha niya po ‘yung bayad niya sa bag niya, laging barya tag-bente lang po,” he added.
In addition to not being able to move, it is also difficult for the old man to speak. Therefore, he really needs care and support which the kind crew gives him.
Jofel clarified, even his other colleagues also support Tay Richard, whoever is on duty at the time the latter goes there. Jofel also mentioned that tatay Richard is a regular customer at their branch.
Recently, a video also touched the hearts of netizens where the service crew, together with their manager, surprised their PWD customer who was celebrating her birthday alone.

They only found out it was her birthday when the manager saw her PWD card.
In the video, it can be seen that the customer actually burst into tears while some crew members were singing the ‘Happy Birthday’ to her as they treated her to a chickn sandwich with a birthday candle and a balloon.
It’s the thought that counts! Much appreciated.
