As a popular saying goes, ‘great things come from small beginnings.’
A vendor named Rodel started selling only up to four kilos of meat for pares-mami using a cart. Now, they have a ‘paresan’ place in Makati and they consume up to 150 kilos of meat per day. Wow!
In the program “Pera-paraan,” Rodel Anisor, CEO of ‘Pares Point the Orginal’ in Makati, shared that their business is a legacy of his mother.
It was disclosed that their business was only porridge back then which was peddled using a cart. Fom thereon, they also included mami in their menu.

Tapos naghahanap sila ng kanin,” he added.
It was further shared that what they went through, selling via a cart, was no joke because they often get hit or sideswiped when they go to different places.
To make matters worse, there was a time when the cart got destroyed after it was seized by authorities.

Such was their struggles which inspired Rodel to work harder until he mustered the courage to rent a vacant lot to sell their ‘pares’.
“Kaya ginawa namin umupa na kami. Naghanap ako ng bakanteng lote,” he continued.
According to Rodel, his initial capital was around P800; selling ‘pares’ using three to four kilos of meat a day.

Presently, his business in Makati can consume up to 150 kilos of meat and five sacks of rice. A huge jump from their four kilos!
It’s no wonder that the former push cart peddler has now become a millionaire. Hard work and perseverance, faith and courage have contributed to their success.
