Certified animal lover and fur mom Alexa Ilacad might have been very busy working outside the country these days, but she never forgets her passion in supporting animals in need; sending a “generous amount” to an organization that rescues stray animals from the streets.
On Facebook, animal group Strays Worth Saving (SWS) uploaded the certificate of Alexa’s donation and expressed how grateful the organization is that the actress still made an effort to help stray animals in the Philippines despite being busy working abroad.
“SWS would like to thank Ms. Alexa Ilacad, who even in the USA busy with her work still manages to find time to help the rescues in need. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you and God bless!” read the caption of the photo it posted. “Please note that this is not the first time she donated for SWS rescues. Truly a beauty with a pure heart.”

For years, the actress has been an active animal advocate participating in and holding different events for stray and rescued animals. She was even photographed while feeding stray cats outside the restaurant where she and her loved ones had their dinner.
Joining the reality show Pinoy Big Brother, animal group PAWSsion Project posted a statement expressing support for the actress, “We just want to share that prior to Alexa joining PBB, we got contacted by her mom asking for a video message to be shown to her as she’d always tell her mom that the reason why she works hard is so she can give back to the animals. She’s always tried in her own little ways to help strays and rescues, rescued and adopted a cat herself, even sang for our online benefit concert.”
It can be recalled that instead of spending a huge amount of fortune on a big, glamorous birthday party for her debut, Alexa celebrated her 18th birthday surrounded by more than 300 rescued animals at the Philippine Animal Welfare Society in 2018.
On her 22nd birthday last February 2022, she again celebrated with PAWSsion Poject, a Philippine-based non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of animals in need is so thankful that she and her fans chose their org as recipient of their kindness.
