Tulad ng kaniyang nakagawian sa ilang taong nagdaan, muling tutuparin ni University of Cebu (UC) chancellor Candice Gotianuy ang Christmas wish ng ilang piling empleyado ng unibersidad.
Muling inilunsad ni Gotianuy nitong Nobyembre 23 ang kaniyang handog na pamasko na tinawag niyang #UCMakeAWish sa isang Facebook post.
Ang #UCMakeAWish ay para lamang sa mga empleyado ng University of Cebu Medical Center (UCMC) at College of Technological Sciences kung saan siya ay kapwa nanunungkulan bilang president.
“It’s #UCMakeAWish time for UC and CTS employees! Write down your wish in the comments below. I will choose wishes and make some of them come true. This is my personal Christmas gift to you,” ayon sa post ni Gotianuy.
Mayroon ding inilabas na guidelines ang UC boss para makasali sa kaniyang handog-pamasko:
1.You have a better chance of receiving your wish if it is realistic.
2.Even better if it is sincere and with a good reason.
3.Write down your wish in a courteous manner.
4.Below the wish, write your name, age, campus, department and years of service to UC/ CTS.
Si Gotianuy ay anak ng founder ng University of Cebu na si Augusto Go. Kabilang sa kanilang pag-aari ay ang University of Cebu Medical Center na nasa Mandaue City.
Sa panayam ng Philstar noong 2019, sinabi ni Ma’am Candice na nais niyang gumawa ng isang espeyal na handog para sa UC community pagsapit ng Pasko.
“A lot of our students are from the lower socieconomic segment and I knew it would mean something to them, the faculty and staff. It was also an enjoyable way of getting to know the needs and concerns of our community,” ani Gotianuy.
Kabilang sa mga tinupad niyang Christmas wish noon ay isang motorsiklo para sa isang Criminology student, pagpapauwi sa amang OFW ng isa pang estudyante, medical expenses para sa magulang ng isa pa at marami pang iba.
