Ilan lamang sa mga University ang napabalitang nagreregalo ng mamahalin, gaya ng kotse, sa mga mag-aaral nito na nakapapasa sa board exam.
Isa sa mga mapalad si Dr. Mark Johnuel Duavis, mula Bohol, na nagtapos sa University of Cebu College of Medicine, at nag-top 10 sa October 2022 Physician Licensure Examination. Siya ay nakakuha ng 87.08 na rating.
Bilang pagkilala sa kanyang milestone na ito ay biniyayaan siya ng university ng isang Toyota Wigo Car.
Ayon sa University, tradisyon na nila ang pagbibigay ng regalo sa kanilang mga natatanging mag-aaral.
“The tradition continues. This Toyota Wigo Car, a gift from our Chairman, Atty. Augusto Go is waiting for our OCTOBER Physician Licensure Examination board placer Dr. Mark Johnuel Duavis. Congratulations,” saad ng University of Cebu sa Facebook post nito.
Nagbahagi rin ng pagbati ang University of Cebu Medical Center (UCMed) kay Dr. Mark.
“The University of Cebu Medical Center (UCMed) congratulates Dr. Mark Johnuel M. Duavis for ranking 10th in the recent Physician Licensure Examination (PLE). The University of Cebu School of Medicine has shown excellence by placing 6th out of all performing medical schools in the country with at least 50 examinees,” saad nito sa FB post.
“Kudos, UC School of Medicine for setting the bar higher!” dagdag pa nito.
Ayon sa Inquirer.net, kung hindi dahil sa mga tumulong sa kanya hindi matutupad ni Dr. Mark ang kanyang pangarap.
Isa ring malaking karangalan para sa kanya ang manatili sa bansa para pagsilbihan ang mga Pilipino.
“Without the help of the Department of Health, the University of Cebu-School of Medicine, and the taxpayers, I would not have realized this dream. Without the scholarship, I could never make it to becoming a doctor. I owe this success to everyone,” aniya, na isa ring registered nurse.
“I would like to serve the people who made this dream a big reality,” dagdag pa niya.
